while munching chocolate chip loaf with strawberry jam in what seems to be a beautiful sunday morning.

this is one of the reasons why i loves the intarweb. god, i loves them people.

a rundown of the last 30 hours:

* saturday morning at 6:30, i went to work to fill in for a teammate i had a schedule swap with.

* that schedule ended at 3:30pm; afterwards, i took a short nap in the inside-of-a-shoe called the office sleep room because ...

* ... i had to take the place of another officemate who is on leave, for work schedule coverage. she was worried on who will take her slot while she's away, so i volunteered to fill in for her shift, until the next agent reports to work.

* that means working from 8:30pm to around 12:30am.

* i didn't realize until afterwards that both their schedules would fall on the same day.

* after 12:30am, i had to endure a few more hours in the sleep room because i have my proper shift at 6am. so i'll still be stuck here in the office until after 3pm.

and this is just the beginning of my work week. i wish i could have weekends off, just like most people.

there was a nice point last night though: i woke up from my nap around the time dar finished his shift, so we were able to spend a little more than hour for dinner. we ended up in a japanese dining place where they were playing some japanese pop songs from (according to daryl) the early 90s.

one song came up which was familiar to daryl: he knew the melody but couldn't remember the title. he even had to ask one of the waitresses for the title of the song, but she was not able to provide it.

of course, dar will be reading this eventually and will again remember the incident and will beat himself up again for not knowing the song title.

They do that in most Teriyaki Boy outlets I've gone to. Too bad most of the time, it's only me that notices and my friends always end up raising a single eyebrow when I mention it.
