male bonding.

i'm not sure if it's a gay thing at all. maybe most straight men don't realize they're missing on it because they think it's unmasculine, and so they're uneasy about doing it among themselves. i think that's sad.

maybe most (straight) men are uneasy of it because it's a sincere display of affection, because it requires that one opens up personal space and let somebody in. it's an admission that the individual is not so invulnerable after all.

but you know what? there are few things more comforting than feeling arms clasped around your chest. it's body against body, flesh against flesh. it's human warmth that assures you it's okay, you're not alone, somebody's sharing what you feel.

i love giving hugs and being hugged. and it's the tightest bear hugs that i love the best.

many thanks to the guys who put up with my SMS ramblings last night. i wish i could hug you guys for real.

aww...a nice big hug calms me down everytime. and i like giving hugs too, makes people feel like they are not alone, someone is still there for them. pero pag straight, they dont hug. i wonder how it feels like not getting hugs at all. sad world siguro

there was a neurologist who wrote about an autistic vet who can't stand being hugged by another person. so she built a machine that will hug her. it's stranger because it's not science fiction.
