nabuca was a boy who was kidnapped and forced into hamdo's army: he's basically a kind person forced to do horrible things against his will. he submits to it because he was holding on to the hope that he and boo will be able to return to their village again after the war is over.

6. shadow skill - Faurink Maya (Follinkmaya or Folli), guessed by .
she's a spellcaster that uses paper talismans. i get a kick with the battle chants in shadow skill, folli's goes like: "i, follinkmaya the plasmatizer, ask the talisman: what are you?" and then the talisman will answer: "i am fire. i am the fire that will burn your enemies to ashes!" at which flame erupts all over causing much as much anime mayhem as they could. cool.

folli's the more level-headed character among the main characters. and although she doesn't seem an especially powerful spellcaster, she was able to effectively battle elle.

my favorite hero in the DC universe: he's human, he doesn't have any powers to speak of, but he's one of the biggest hero (and for good reason). intelligent, rich, charming, cunning, slightly amoral, and more fucked up than many of the DC villains, batman is one of the most fascinating characters not just in the league, but in all of DC comics.

he's shy, he's quiet, and he plays the piano (something i can't do, but i would like to learn someday). and he was contantly fighting the advances of lucy. i thought that was cute.



11. alex garland's the beach (clue: the character was not in the movie)

12. harry potter - Remus Lupin, guessed by .
he's outcasted because he's a werewolf (a fact he had to hide until snape "outed" him), he's one of the most messed up characters in harry potter. nevertheless, he's still able not to let his circumstances affect him too much. he's also the most kickass of the defense against the dark arts teachers.

13. books of magic (clue: they had a problem knowing what this character's true name is)

14. discworld - Commander Samuel Vimes, guessed by .
"one is too much, two is not enough." a former alcoholic, sam vimes rose from poverty (he's a descendant of the most condemned regicide in ankh-morpork) to become the commander of the watch. he throws some of the best lines, has some of the funniest insights on police work, and is the worst nightmare of any assassin.

15. good omens (clue: the character eventually changed his/her/its name.) - Crowley, guessed by .
formerly known as crawley, he was the serpent in the garden. he's smarter and more stylish than the average demon and probably has the best-looking apartment in london. any record left in his car for more than a forthnight will inevitably transform into the best of queen.
