i figured i'd take a cab to ortigas. i was running late and i thought that a cab would take me to galleria faster. at around 7 in the evening, i should've known better that that was wishful thinking. i had to endure more than an hour of traffic at C5 while being forced to listen to a popular local FM station playing really horrible pop songs. and i had to waste 120 pesos worth o taxi fare just like that. i should've commuted the regular way; i reckon i might've arrived at ortigas sooner.
i wasn't able to do any tarot readings.
from ortigas, i took a bus to that "real" job in makati. i thought i could catch me a short nap on the way. at the very least, i'd be able to have some quiet time before in between both jobs. i was wrong.
there were these men in the bus; construction workers, apparently. it seems that they took the bus based on the sign board outside: it was supposed to by-pass a couple of stops so that travel time would be quicker. but the driver wasn't following the route they were advertising; he did go to the stops they were supposed to skip and was in fact taking quite a long time picking up passengers. this has been going on even before i boarded. by the time the bus was in ortigas, a pair of the construction worker were already complaining loudly, swearing at the bus driver and the ticket seller. there goes my quiet time.
when the bus passed the shaw service road (the sign said they were skipping that area and will take the underpass), the loud pair was really making a commotion. when the bus reached boni, the ticket seller called a traffic policeman to complain about the passengers. other passngers are getting really annoyed by then and a couple of us went down and took another bus to ayala.
aside from angry mumbling of passengers who were from that other bus, the rest of the trip was relatively quiet. but i was already too agitated to be able to completely relax for the remainder of the trip.
