i superglued my fingers some time back. i was gluing a small part of my very battered sneakers when one finger accidentally brushed a wet surface and then made contact to another one. i have two fingers that are stuck to one another.
for the first few seconds i sat in disbelief. then i panicked. ohshitohshitohshit my hands are glued. i remembered trying to pull skin that was accidentally glued before and back then a portion of the skin was pulled out when i tried to get myself unstuck.
i then remembered acetone was supposed to dissolve the glue away and i quickly rummaged through my sister's things to find some nail polish remover. my sister didn't have one. i had to get out of the house and look for a store selling acetone. and i should be sleeping after i've glued my shoe back. why this?
i was expecting an instant miracle. voila and the fingers are unglued. but no. it took ten more minutes of careful soaking and gentle peeling before the fingers are removed.
i sighed relief when my fingers finally were unstuck. i hate it when i'm left panicking.
