i'm not sure when it became popular to have letters stitched to pants' buttocks. at some point, i started noticing jogging or sports pants with letters stitched to the ass area, usually spelling S-E-X-Y. it's not very flattering, when one considers the fact that these letters draw attention to one's backside and the fact that most filipinos have rather flat behinds.
so two weeks back, i was ambling along the walkway to landmark when i saw this woman with writing on her ass. it wasn't on her pants, really; it was near the bottom hem of her shirt. the print said "I MISS YOU ALREADY" which was pretty inane; especially with my mind making filthy connections between what the print said and where it was written on. hah.
(one of these days, i'll write something about the filipinos' tendency to put sentimental one-liners on almost anything.)
i was following the girl and was trying to discretely photograph her behind when my friend jayson called me. i signalled that i'll talk to him in a bit, tried to focus my phone camera, then took a photo. jayson later laughed at my voyeurism.
apparently, he was walking behind me for some time already, and was for some time deciding whether it was really me or not. he said that a few days before that, he saw someone who looked like me but when he approached that person and slapped his shoulder, it turned out to be someone else.
anyways, here's an open letter to low-cut pants. totally off-topic.
