having it held in folk arts theater on a friday night after payday (some companies give out salaries on the 20th of every month, after all) meant people had to wade through evil metro manila traffic. edel and i certainly did. getting a cab took ages, the commute took us forever, and the venue seemed like it was at the other side of the universe.
the food was mediocre, it felt like being in a children's party. let's not even talk about the drinks.
what saved the night was the bands, which was probably where a good size of the budget went. i will not begrudge the company, if only for that.
