while i was trying to catch a quick nap while in a cab, on my way to meet friends for an afternoon food trip.

a local fastfood was promoting their "lenten feast" in a radio ad. ironic, considering that for catholics lent is supposed to be a time where fasting and abstinence are encouraged (especially on certain holy days). the words "lent" and "feast" don't go together; one implies denial of wants, the other implies indulgence to pleasure.

i guess no one bothered pointing that out to the fastfood chain. more likely, no one really bothered thinking that the idea of a "lenten feast" was an oxymoron. (although they probaby removed meat products from the menu).

considering that i no longer consider myself catholic, i wonder why i'd spare some thought on an ad like that. sometimes i wish i could actively stop my brain from thinking.

I soooo haven't gone out, at least on a "day gimik", for the longest time that I'd settle for the food on a saturday morning in Salcedo. Sarap the callos, and sooo missing it! Provided that you wouldn't doze off on me like last night. :P
