this is the reason why i'm not comfortable using laptops: for me, it feels like a keyboard ain't right without a numeric keypad where my right hand with automatically settle if i'm going to type a string of numbers. it's become second nature so much so that hunting for the right digits among the numeric row above the letters feels awkward and cumbersome.i'm even more used to hitting the lower right corner of the keyboard with my right pinky knowing fully well that it will hit the return key there, but there isn't, so i'm all confused.
i know that the numeric keypad is redundant, and that a keyboard could be made more compact without it; but if one frequently has to type away a string of numbers (like i do, every time i need to type my common password), the absence of that familiar keypad is very distinct.
