More blonde moments from the last 24 hours.

PhotobucketBlonde moment number 2: Less than a minute into the call, I watched in horror as my screen happily informed me that Windows is shutting down. "Oh my fucking Lord!" I gasped as the screen turned black.

The workstation I was using has a special keyboard, one with built-in Sleep and Shut Down buttons. Why those tricky little buggers were put in between the Scroll (Home, End, Page Up/Down) keys and the Directional Arrow keys, i have no idea; but they shouldn't be hidden among the more frequently used keys where landing the pinky finger in the wrong place will cause one's computer to close faster than you say "Oh, bugger!"

The customer was very amused at my little "moment" when I told him I accidentally shut down my computer and was kind enough to engage in some small talk while I was waiting for the computer to restart (that took about 5 minutes).

Blonde moment number 3 involved a little confusion on pizza (how were we supposed to know those boxes weren't the pizza the Director bought?) with Zai while in the office pantry. I swear, I need to have my hair recolored and my brains back soon.

Oh, bugger!

I HATE that cursed sleep button.

well at least some keyboard manufacturers have the intelligence to put it along the row of function keys instead of sneakily hiding among the cursor/nav keys.

Even when it's beside other function keys, it's still pretty easy to accidentally hit it. :(

(Why does there have to be a keyboard shortcut for this? I don't think a lot of people use it anyway. I think it's still more popular to actually go to the Start menu.)

or pull the plug, hahaha.

beats me why they even bothered with it. i think it makes more sense in a laptop because you often don't use a mouse with it; although there's higher danger of accidentally shutting down your laptop because of the damn keys.
