Writing Online Workshop

Session 1: February 9, 2009, Monday, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Session 2: February 11, 2009, Wednesday, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Session 3: February 13, 2009, Friday, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The basic online writing course will help you utilize the Internet as
a powerful and effective business and personal communication tool. The
course will discuss the ways technology has changed contemporary
literary practices, as well as the various forms of Internet media
such as e-mail, blogs, online forums, search engines, and more. It
will also include pointers on how to write for online readers.


About the speaker:

Palanca Award winner Luis Joaquin M. Katigbak is a contributing editor
for Imagine Magazine and writes two weekly columns, "Luis Listens" and
"The King of Nothing To Do," for Manila Bulletin. His two books, The
King of Nothing to Do, a collection of essays, and Happy Endings, a
collection of short stories, were nominated in the National Book
Awards. Mr. Katigbak has worked as a senior web editor for Smart
Communications and as the editor-in-chief of Pulse.ph, an online music
magazine. He was also a founding editor of Burn Magazine.

Workshop fee is P3,000 inclusive of handouts, materials, snacks, and
certificate. Equipment is not included. Participants can bring their
own laptop or opt to rent laptops from FHL for an additional fee of
P1,000. A down payment of P500 is required to reserve a slot. The
deadline for reservations is February 3, 2009. A 10 percent discount
will be given to those who pay in full on or before the deadline.

Payments may be given in cash, through credit card, or Globe GCash.
