While waiting for my airplane to come.

Somebody from the airline's office got a major tongue-lashing from me yesterday when I was told my noon flight was cancelled and I will be moved to the 8pm flight.

"What?!" I couldn't help shouting when I was told of the flight cancellation. "I took the noon flight because I have to be in Manila before evening because I have work at 8pm!" Not that I could do anything about it; all flights back to Manila were already fully booked.

And to think I was prepared to take a short nap before dropping by our Cebu offices later that evening. News like that really spoils one's mood.

The trip going to Cebu also had its delay. Jeff and I were in the waiting area when this tall, good-looking guy came in, saw me and mouthed my name. I was honestly puzzled until he mouthed his name: Pao.

Pao. Eydie's ex-boyfriend, former model, and culinary school student. He still has my Anthony Bourdain book. For some reason, I always fail to recognize him.

Coincidentally, he's taking the same flight to Cebu; I asked him to join me and Jeff. We chatted a bit while killing time before boarding and he asked if we'd like to smoke.

"Boarding's in 5 minutes," I pointed out just as we were standing up to leave for the smoking area. We sat back, a bit bummed and continued to wait for announcements. A minute later, it was announced the flight is delayed for 2 hours. Partly annoyed, yet partly relieved, we set for the smoking area.

Killing 2 hours in a airport was spent with me inhaling second-hand smoke while Pao kept convincing me to smoke a stick. Because there wasn't anything better to do, I gave in and smoked 2 sticks. That was the 3rd time I've smoked in my life.

I went with Jas to the airport for my return flight. We spent my last afternoon in Cebu with Edik, drinking at SM until 5:30.

She's bound for Bacolod for a 7 o'clock flight; she ended up leaving Cebu earlier than I did. Her flight left half an hour ago and she's probably arrived and left the Bacolod airport by now. Amazing how these things happen.

As soon as I arrive in Manila, I'll be heading straight to work.
