It's not like it hasn't happened before. Another brilliant technician erased some of my files from my sister's computer in the house in Makati.
Apparently, he decided to backup only some of my folders, so I lost a gig of photos, some of which may not have any backups. Stupid, stupid bastard. Since he wasn't sure which files should be kept and which could be thrown away, HE SHOULD HAVE BACKED UP EVERYTHING.
So after a perfectly okay morning with the mother, we had another row because she didn't tell me they're having the computer fixed. "But you were at work," she told me. Well she could have told me in the afternoon, could she? It's very easy for her to remind me repeatedly how my aunt has asked AGAIN for stupid Tarot readings (which, as a rule, I don't do for relatives); but something she knows we've had serious rows with in the part, she wouldn't tell me until after the fact.
It's ironic that despite being a technician myself, I mistrust most technicians. But a few years back another technician erased a few gigs' worth of scanned drawings from my harddrive, so I've been careful about people touching my files. And I would insist I back up my files myself. If I missed something, then it's my fault.
But now this.
DAMN IT! I wanted to throw that useless computer out of the balcony when I found out I had many files that were missing.

awwww that's so sad. frustrating indeed.
What the? dont trust the so called "techs" here in PH... most of them dont know sh*t of what theyre doin... Magaling magmaruong... wala namang alam... sh*theads... marunong lang mag windows, tech na ang tawag sa sarili...
OMG! you could've have had me fix your computer. reformatting would be the last option. you know that i do that. but then again, i've been always out of sight lately.
so, so, so sorry about that, housemate. =(
ay, just so this doesn't happen to your stuff on my computer, burn your stuff on DVDs na. you know... in case of power failure.
Sorry about what happened to your PC. well, reformatting HDD is the easiest way in fixing Windows.....napansin ko rin yan sa mga bagong technician, reformat kaagad ang solution kapag di nila maresolve ang problema, they don't care about the files of their client, they should have list of guidelines before they do the reformatting, for me reformatting HDD is the last option.
Maraming nagkalat ngayon na Comptech na panggap.
(I'm also a Comptech hahahahaha).
heartbreak and sniffles
