Breakfast: rice cakes and butter.

My aunt (my maternal uncle's wife) makes wonderful ibos -- local rice cakes wrapped in banana or coconut leaves. They're good enough on their own or sprinkled with a little sugar. I usually prefer the dish plain where I could taste the mild sweetness of the coconut milk.

This morning though, I decided I'd put a little butter on my ibos and was pleased how the salty buttermilk complimented with the taste. I also added a little honey in one serving, so it's like breakfast pancakes -- but with the rice cake replacing the pancakes. It was good but I think I prefer just adding the butter.
