Strawberry Fizz

Ingredients:
2.5 Shots Russian Standard Vodka
0.5 Shot De Kuyper Wild Strawberry
Lemonade

Directions:
Half fill highball glass with ice. Pour in the De Kuyper Wild Strawberry and Russian Standard Vodka and top up with lemonade. Stir gently.

Garnish with a slice of lime or lemon.

Screwdriver

Description:
Quite simply, vodka and orange juice.

The boyfriend and I agree that a cocktail must have a name that does not indicate its ingredients to creat some sort of mystique. Hence, I will not call my drink Rhum and Coke - I'll call it Cuba Libre.

Still, I always hear people (gay men, really) saying "Vodka-orange" in bars. I find that totally depressing.

Ingredients:
5.0 cl Vodka
10.0 cl Orange Juice

Directions:
Pour all ingredients directly into highball glass filled with ice. Stir gently. Garnish with orange slice.

Replacing the flat orange juice with a carbonated orange drink, such as Fanta (or in my case, Royal), produces a cocktail known as a Hi-Fi.

A screwdriver in which Tang is substituted for the orange juice is known as a Fuzzy Cosmonaut.

White Russian

Description:
Because I like my drinks sweet and toxic. Maybe I could create a lighter version of the White Russian; I'll call it Russian Twink.

IBA classifies White Russian as an After Dinner cocktail.

Ingredients:
5.0 cl (5 parts) Vodka
2.0 cl (2 parts) Coffee liqueur (usually Kahlua)
3.0 cl (3 parts) Fresh cream

Directions:
Pour coffee liqueur and vodka directly into old fashioned glass filled with ice. Float fresh cream on the top and stir in slowly.

*Usually a maraschino cherry is added as garnish. Actually, I like this drink partly because of the cherry.

Manmosa

Description:
The "manly" mimosa.
Taken from the East Village Idiot.

Ingredients:
1 can of beer
4 oz. orange juice

(The proportion is: three parts beer, one part orange juice.)

Directions:
Combine ingredients in a glass. Garnishing is optional (because real men don't trifle with fancy drink garnishing).

Strawberry Bellini

Ingredients:
1 1/2 ounces strawberry puree
5 ounces champagne


Directions:
1. Pour strawberry puree into the bottom of a champagne flute.
2. Top with champagne.

French 75

Ingredients:
1/4 oz lemon juice or sour mix
1/4 oz gin
1/4 oz Cointreau
5 oz Champagne

Directions:
1. Pour the lemon juice or sour mix, gin and Cointreau into a shaker with ice cubes.
2. Shake well.
3. Strain into a chilled Champagne flute.
4. Carefully add the Champagne.

Poinsettia

Ingredients:
1/2 oz Cointreau or triple sec
Champagne
3 oz cranberry juice

Directions:
1. Chill all of the ingredients beforehand.
2. Pour the Cointreau and cranberry juice into a chilled Champagne flute.
3. Stir well.
4. Top with Champagne.

Mistletoe

Ingredients:
1 oz white tequila
1/2 oz triple sec
1/2 oz fresh pomegranate juice
Champagne
pomegranate seeds for garnish

Directions:
1. Pour the tequila, triple sec and pomegranate juice in a chilled Champagne flute.
2. Fill with Champagne.
3. Garnish with pomegranate seeds.

Bellini

Ingredients:
2 oz peach juice or peach puree
4 oz Prosecco (or other sparkling wine)

Directions:
1. Pour the peach juice or peach puree into a Champagne flute.
2. Slowly add the Prosecco.

Note: The original recipe was made with a bit of raspberry or cherry juice to give the drink a pink glow.

Mimosa

Ingredients:
1/2 oz triple sec
1 1/2 oz fresh orange juice
3 1/2 oz chilled Champagne
orange slice for garnish

Directions:
1. Build the ingredients in the order given in a Champagne flute.
2. Garnish with the orange slice.
