i nicked this from aubs:
ask a question. or ask me to tell you something, and i'll answer it. it should be a serious question (even if it was only hypothetical) and i will answer it truthfully.
leave a comment with your question and i'll answer it with a comment (or even a separate blog entry, if the question requires a long answer).
game.

hehe great way to make a blog interactive aye!!!
my question is: what is the most dangerous place that you've ever taken your camera to do a shoot in? and what place would you love to shoot that's really dangerous and therefore you have never done a shoot there before?
i don't know about the degree of danger, but i've shot photos in a public vehicle on late nights so there's the risk of being mugged. different friends have pointed out several times my exposing my camera in places known for muggers (like some of the seedier parts of manila).
but if it's about the danger, i'd like to take photos of volcanic craters or spewing lava. i also would like to take photos of public riots.
Are you contented? :-)
now there's a question.
in many ways, i could say i'm satisfied with what i have. life is mostly good: there're the good moments, the bad moments, the dull moments. i don't have any major problem to worry about. i could survive until the next payday. i have an apartment of my own, i have friends, i've had lovers, i've been able to do some of things i wanted to do with my life.
on the other hand, there are other things i want: books to read, movies to see, things to do, places to see. i can't say i'm fully content, but i don't want anything too badly right now. life is mostly good.
contented is one thing...
are you happy?
real photojournalism!! i like that! i envy photographers who take awesome wide-angle photos of riots and stuff...like john javellana!!
with all the "hurtings" that i sense by just reading your other entries...
this may be a little personal. but, kuya jd... are you "still" in denial of the "truth"?
no. but i will be.
happiness is an elusive and amorphous thing. it arrives by chance, happens so quickly and can't be held on to as long as one wanted. but a quick moment of happiness is enough to make life more bearable.
i will be happy. and i'm sure you will be, soon enough.
no. i know what the truth is, cognitively. i don't deny that it's over.
but one cannot stop oneself from hoping thing could turn out otherwise. hope is what drives some people to despair.
i hope for that happiness to come to you soon.
you truly deserve it. :)
everybody deserves happiness, man. :-)
and you most certainly do.
i deserve a raise. or a promotion. and happiness on top of them. LoL
wow. happiness! penge! ahihihi.
suddenly, the statement sounded like the pink and blue unicorns fuckin around with charlie...
"yey, happiness!..." LoL
dear, short nga ako sa hapiness eh.
tanong ka na lang. :-)
i've taken photos of public demonstrations na, like the last one that happened sa ayala. pero public demonstrations are a bit like carnivals - fun and hectic pero it's almost always relatively safe. riots though are a diffferent thing.
hay, gusto ko rin ng wide angle adaptor sa camera ko. or an actual dslr so i could get me proper wide angle lenses.
ahihihi. uki i'll think of something...
wit lang... i'll go wear my thinking hat...
be back in a jiff. wweee. :D
<let's bring this back>
have you always been gay?
no.
or then again, maybe i was but i was just not paying attention. but i've only seriously thought about whether i was gay or not during my late teens. i guess i was a late bloomer.
and how.
oh. the whole deciding i was gay thing involved drinking at a friend's house, thumb wrestling, and aguy who looked like ethan hawke making at with me in a cab. at least that's how the night started. hahaha.
your photos don't give away your being gay. au contraire, you'll pass for a straightt bloke. but then of course, so do most hunk-looking fellows.

most people assume i'm straight. it leads to unintentional comedy sometimes.
a gay monkey? you must love the banana so much :-) kiddin'
it's jayvee who's more into bananas, really. we buy a couple of bananas everytime we go grocery shopping.
