although i'm kind of curious to know what anti-matter has to do with it.

i can't work because of the noise around me. i could spy a co-worker asleep next to the source of the loud conversation and wonder how he could do that. between the smell of printer toner and noise from all sorts of talk about nothing in particular, i am more distracted that usual.

earlier this week, carlo suggested we watch angels and demons. i declined because i have a strong dislike for dan brown, which i can't explain why because i haven't read any of his works. all i know is when i learned the gist of the da vinci code, the plot seemed unoriginal. i've read stories about desposyni before, and secrets hidden in paintings is a relatively common theme in literature. in fact, it reminded me so much of a j.g. ballard story (the lost leonardo).

anyways, i spied two friends' mini-reviews of angels and demons from twitter. they don't know each other - i think, although i wouldn't be surprised if they do - but their entries came side-by-side in the update streams.

i just thought it was amusing how both of them are referring to the same scene but their reactions are opposite of each other.

i'm guessing that, if i do watch that movie, i will also not like that anti-matter scene. it's same kind of conditional suspension of disbelief that allows me to accept a man who hides three 14-inch claws in his forearms but not a teenager who supposedly fires concussive beams that end up burning a school building.

well well well, if only for visual effects! but, antimatter seems cooler as a concept.
and the application of it would destroy the charm brought by mystery.

parang trulab lang.

Yeah, don't like Dan Brown either. I have this desire to bonk him on the head with the complete Alias DVD set and a hardcover copy of Foucault's Pendulum in the hopes of showing him better ideas via kinetic transference.
